Оглавление | Research problem. Importance. Limitations. Change and progress. Methods. Data other empirical materials. Analysis. Debate and conclusions. Suggestions. Sources Regarding Ukrainian historiography, unfortunately, the problems of the Baltic countries have not been developed sufficiently. The Baltic States are considered in the context of European Union enlargement and the North Atlantic Alliance, the formation of a new concept of European security, the identification of the place and role of regions in the modern system of international relations. In contemporary Ukrainian scientific literature, the research works that would comprehensively study the foreign policy of the Baltic countries or the problems of the impact of recent integration processes in Europe on the political situation in the Baltic region in general and the Baltic states, in particular, have not been given enough attention (3, p. 78). In one way or another, this problem is touched by: O. Bodruk, R. Balaban, N. Kononenko, S. Bozhko, O. Honcharenko, B. Parahonsky, V. Krushynsky, V. Kopiyka, I.Mingazutdinov, S. Galaka, V. Konstantinov, V. Matviyenko and others. Importance. The relevance of topic being researched in this project is determined by the main social and scientific reasons. Firstly, modern geopolitics of Ukraine undergoes the process of its development and formation (5, p. 87). Under these conditions our research project will have scientific importance as the contribution to the comprehensive scientific research of modern Ukraine’s geopolitics and its interests. Secondly, Ukraine as a sovereign independent state conducts its foreign policy on the basis of mutual cooperative ties with other countries, including the Baltic States. The relations with these countries directly influence the geopolitics of Ukraine (12, p. 9). This research is called to explore major geopolitical problems of Ukraine in the context of the geostrategic relations with its partners, such as Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia. The conclusions of this project will help better understand the current Ukraine’s geopolitical processes. Sources 1. Bank of Latvia, Lursoft.
